Bobwhite Quail

Bobwhite Quail are a real challenge to shoot, but when you’re successful, they’re delicious to eat!

Here at Alcorn’s Hunter Haven, these upland birds have plenty of natural habitat to hide in, from tree lines and fields of millet and milo to grass and weed patches. When our Labs point them and flush them up...you’d better be ready!

Come enjoy an exciting hunt and relaxing downtime at a Nebraska outfitter that treats you like family. Your trip includes an experienced hunting guide, Alcorn Kennel pointing labs, comfortable lodging at our remodeled 1930’s barn, home-cooked meals, plus transportation to and from the hunt site.

We’ll even clean your birds, so you can spend your time enjoying the calls of pheasants, chukar, and quail as you relax on the lodge deck and trade stories about your day in the field.

And remember, hunts are flexible with no set dates (within the season) or lengths, so you can hunt around your schedule. If you want to hunt for 10 days, that’s great. If a 2-day hunt is a better fit for you, just tell us. We’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule so you can work in that quail hunt you’ve been dreaming about.

During your hunting day, you may shoot pheasant, chukar, and quail (a 5-bird total limit [4 after January 1st] combination of all three species); and sharptail grouse (limit 3). If you’d like to add to your count and the excitement, consider combining your hunt with any of our other hunts such as waterfowl, predator, or deer at a special rate.
